Dr. Jason Min So is a board-certified and fellowship-trained retina specialist. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Louisiana State University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC). He remained in Louisiana to complete his internal medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at LSUHSC, where he served as Chief Resident of the Ophthalmology Department. Dr. So then completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Dr. So specializes in the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases, including retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, and macular hole. His research interests include retinopathy of prematurity and secondary lens implantation. Dr. So has presented at national conferences and has participated in multiple clinical trials. He has invented and patented a novel method of secondary lens implantation.
Dr. So is pleased to return to South Bend/Mishawaka to serve the patients in the region.
Outside of medicine, Dr. So enjoys health and fitness, cooking, playing guitar, and traveling, and he values time spent with his wife and two sons.
